Runaway Bay
This reef is filled with rainbow colored schools of tropical fish, grouper, stingrays and snapper. Sharks, green moray eels, turtle and barracuda swim about the area. The Canyon, a dive site not to be missed, where two parallel walls stand 20 feet apart in 40 feet of water, at a 30ft depth, while the bottom slopes downward to 130 feet and beyond. Between Runaway Bay and Ocho Rios, the wall comes close to shore and drops from 60 feet to more than 3,000 feet as the Cayman Trench nears the shoreline.
